OUR HISTORY

Estey’s Driver Education was founded by Ian Estey in 1972 using his World War II experience in transport as well as his 33 years’ experience in CNR Transport Division. After managing driver education for CAA Maritimes, he then established Estey’s Driver Education, which he owned and operated until his death in 1986.

His son, Kevin Estey, took over the business after his dad’s passing. He used his experience as a truck driver as well as a licensed mechanic to operate the business and the help of a long time employee Bill Price. In 1987, Kevin completed the instructor course with the N.B. Safety Council along with the Driver Improvement Instructor Course in 1988. In 1993, Kevin was awarded by the court of Queen’s Bench to be a traffic accident expert witness.
